The guise of glue

I discover, more and more, with every walk, stroll and saunter, the ripping, tearing, marking, painting, denting, cracking and ageing, of walls, posts, the surfaces of our city. Observing this leads me to fantasise the life of this object; why has this seemingly grey wall been painted so many times over, with such contrasting colours? And so, this is something I’d like to work with, and deeper into.
Posters, too, show and share the same phenomena. Who pasted this here? when? was it for themselves, or were they hired? were they consciously thinking about the placement? who came along and ripped it up?
