Experiment

I decided to experiment with texture and structure to understand my skills and weekness. The first sculpture above was done using a fuzzy jacket. This created a unique pattern that made my plaster look like a stiff sock. I really enjoyed this fabric although it had meshed with the plaster making it hard to detach. I then dipped a strip of fabric into plaster making sure it was fully coated, this started to dry lumpy instead of a thin layer. I decided I would use this opportunity to play with it. I wrapped this sheet around the table leg and then removed it by lifting up the table and siding it off. It gave a cool effect having the inside smooth and the outside rough.
