Encounter

After tasked to wander the city, determined by the flipping of a coin, I was taken to places I wouldn’t have otherwise gone if it had been up to me. On this walk I began to notice greenery in places it shouldn’t necessarily be, such as moss on a stone wall, grass growing in the gaps of a bench and vines crawling up walls and out of crevices.

Because I live in the bush of the Waitakere Ranges, on the occasions I am in the city, I can’t help but notice the symmetry in the architecture.
