a weight of your mind_Afterthought

I came into this brief extremely excited. And let me write that I am still extremely excited!
But for sure this has been a rollercoaster; as someone so comfortable in drawing and painting, and other forms of 2d arts, I am very eager to break out of this cage! But the rollercoaster of this brief was my personal life, that unfortunately caused me to become unfocused, unmotivated, and distracted. There was a moment in which I became bored, bored but with a lot to do, and then I realised I was facing my own discomfort! so I had to work with that, And thats the point in which I just changed route completely and got the acrylic sheets!

Observing shadow, form, the lines that cut across them, and the im/possibility of weight, was a super fun practice, and I’m really excited to get into it again after a bit of a break. To me the main thing I am really needing to delve deeper into and work on is researching, reading, and trying to inspire MYSELF though other peoples work. I want to be able to pick things up I like and reimagine it!!

I’d like to work with colour more, too! I think that could bring another aspect to the work that will speak for itself and the emotion it’s conveying heavily.
