Considering that we will be doing work using plaster I thought looking into its properties and uses would be beneficial when working with the plaster. So here are some tips and information about plaster
- So what is plaster? To put it simply, plaster is a paste-like substance that is often used in construction to create a smooth and protective surface when filling gaps in walls or to finish the wall itself.
- When making art with plaster it can be manipulated in many ways. You can drip, fill, shape, carve and the list goes on, making it a very versatile material.
- When using plaster it is crucial to get the right ratio. If you add too much water your mix will become very runny and almost unusable. On the other hand if you add too much dry plaster it will become clumpy with some parts wet and some parts dry also making it very hard to use.
