Tim Noble and Sue Webster

Tim Noble and Sue Webster, Wild Mood Swings

Tim Noble and Sue Webster, both British painters, met in 1986 while studying fine art at Nottingham University. It is well known that the pair is renowned for their famous “shadow sculptures,” which are created from repurposed materials and rubbish. They then light them to create shadows on the surrounding walls and ground. When you first glance at the item, it may seem to be a mound of trash. Nevertheless, as the light is turned on, a highly detailed and realistic picture is revealed by the piece’s shadow on the wall.
