Week 3: Combining

I struggled alot this week, Unsure of how to approach new works, I started of by cleaning up my board and combining works from the previous 2 weeks. This helped me start with a new way to approach art, I cut out pictures and using my abstract art as the backgroud, It was fun to put together and in this process I knew I wanted to focus on how to incorperate wringkling/ texture into my art.

Continuing the tyler the creator profile I used a damped scrunched up peice of medium sized paper and splashed and dabbed paint onto it, I wanted to focus on general shapes and colours to roughly show who im trying to portray. A technique I can develop but not something I can stick with.

Revisiting the scruch technique, planning to use this as a background.

Stenciling. this was fun I enjoyed this process. At first I waned to paint ontop of this fabric lace, found out the stencling was equaly as interesting. fun process which I need to find more fabric patterns for.

This art peice was more for experimentation. I was trying to see what scrapping and charcoal looked like. with this I wasent too thoughtful about the end result, I wanted it to be messy and ugly.

It was great to try out, maybe I can re arrange, or change it, because im not completely happy with it, its not what I want to keep going with.

Looking at this all together I notice that I am only interested in portraits, not a suprise since its my favourite subject of art. I want to follow this path, I feel I can develop more ideas from this.
