Drowning Scream

Using cut up fabric I collected from jeans that are too long or restyling a shirt. I used a sewing machine to sew the pieces together. Taping this sown cloth on the wall, I poured acrylic paint from the bottle in the beginning. Once I started with the skin colour I started using sponges. This created a drip effect and a haunting drowning scream abstract image.

Henrik Aa. Uldalen

Henrik Aa. Uldalen is a Norwegian oil painter, born in 1986. He’s a self-taught artist who explores surrealism with figurative paintings. Henrik stated that he has, “no vision or plan for the pieces…” he makes. I wanted to take that idea as I had no plan of what it’ll look like. As shown in the video I poured acrylic paint and used a sponge to move the paint around. I successfully created an abstract painting of a woman screaming underwater. The emotions displayed in the painting are visible.
