While juggling the time consuming task of writing essay’s for other classes, I managed to get my creative juices flowing during the weeks of lockdown/ semester break. During this time I started by experimenting a little bit with other materials.

I started by using a cardboard surface which I was not really familiar with. I tried to re-create a new figure from a jumper I have. I also experimented with using new patters, like dots and using a scraping method with other cardboard. I wasn’t really a fan of how this turned out so I decided to move on.

I started painting the exact same figure on to fabric. I used a scraping method with a tool I created out of an old dish scrub. I dipped the dish scrub into some paint and began rubbing it on to the fabric. I then tried to highlight parts of the figure to try and bring it out more.
This also didn’t turn out how I pictured it to, but I was still interested in the idea of bringing it more to life by using other materials.
