These a two gifs I have put together using Procreate and EzGif. Both use the technique of applying drawing onto the stills, introduced in today’s workshop. The first sequence highlights the worker and their movement while performing an action. Keeping track of how much we move during labour, mirroring that of a worker bee. Questioning patterns we follow to complete labor as swift as possible.
The second highlights both the worker and the items they touch during the process. Showing the connection between the worker and the objects. Suggesting when we touch objects, both worker and object become one. Asking the question of who and what benefits from our labor? Sharing the benefits from that labor. The worker gets clean clothes to wear, whereas the clothes get a deep wash.
