Trying to be a tourist in my neighbourhood… This has been the most challenging so far, I’ve lived here for the past 14 years, so i really had to take a few minutes of meditation to try and extract all i see Sandringham as from my mind, To try imagine all the things that i HEAR about this beautiful place.

I started to view Sandringham as a more extreme melting pot of cultures, to how people often view it from outside; The Little India, Where you can go to get the best Indian dinners possible in New Zealand, to where a huge portion of Indian migrants settled in the past 100-and-a-bit years.

There’s so much amazing produce that is constantly being replenished here, with 4 large grocer/traders selling anything from green chilli, kavela (??), to offerings, shrine ornaments, clothes, and any spice you can imagine between here and Timbuktu

A normal stroll in my neighbourhood. It was an interesting exercise for me, seen as I have so often walked this path. But simply spending more time in one spot, crouching low or climbing higher, was not only enlightening but simply entertaining.
